I think most of us have felt this way the last few years. One thing I would add to your wonderful list is finding small ways to give of yourself to make others feel loved. For me, it's about sending cards, quilts, and comics to folks in need. Also, it's important to take a break from the news and concentrate on the good that we can accomplish. I love you and miss you! I begged my dad to take me to Woolworth's wear I got red yarn for hair, embroidery floss for the face, and something to make a dress. I traced an outline on the pillowcase and once she was together she was a sight - too skinny neck legs and arms, her head kept flopping forward and she resembled a pancake gone awry. Wish I'd have kept her as she'd probably be considered folk art now! I built her an equally skewed bed out of kindling wood. At least I got the rectangle right when I made a mattress out of leftover pillowcase!Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09668767874065880422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7655462090282990621.post-67467870143754392282022-03-20T16:22:42.582-04:002022-03-20T16:22:42.582-04:00When in high school, I had a small collection of o...When in high school, I had a small collection of owl figures given to me. My friends started calling me "Who" because I asked a LOT of questions all the time (and still do ;) I was enthusiastic to have my own special nick name and laughed whenever anyone called me "Who!" Blizzard of '77, listening to the newscaster saying, "There's no end in sight" so that night I dreamed the snow rose halfway up my second story window. My mom and I baked 2, count 'em 2 batches of her peanut butter cookies and we each gained 5 pounds over the course of 4 days of not being able to leave the house. Just yesterday I was saying how people move to fast...everywhere in cars, on sidewalks, in malls (I avoid malls like the plague BTW, I just know they move too fast in there :) I also said how I have always moved slowly through life and been chastised for it. I still have a journal where at 15 I wrote about feeling like I didn't belong because all my friends always had to be DOing something. I just wanted to "hang out." I wish you could come here sometime. There is woods on 3 sides, a fairly quiet road, and mostly the sounds of birds. It's my haven where I most easily find my peace and I love to share it with friends on occasion!
